Hey, I’m Stacey

I'm a web designer and strategist who blends creative intuition with real-world business thinking. I didn't plan for this to be my path - I had decided in high school that I was going to be a photographer. Web design found me when I needed a new creative outlet in 2019 and the first time I made something move with code meant I wasn't going to be doing anything else for a long time.

I spent a few years building Space Cookie Designs on the side while working full time. In 2023, I found out I was getting laid off on a Monday. By Friday, I had my first not-friends, not-family client. That was all the confirmation I needed.

I've worked with over 50 service-based businesses since then, and the pattern is consistent. The gap between a site that looks fine and one that actually supports your growth usually comes down to one thing - clarity. Not design trends or flashy features. Can someone land on your site and immediately understand what you do, who it's for, and what to do next?

I come at that problem with equal parts intuition and strategy. I get a read on what feels right for my client's brand, then apply strategy to make sure their website meets their business goals without losing the 'them' in the process. Photography taught me how to see. Graphic design taught me how to guide attention. Web design taught me how to make it interactive.

I'm in this because I genuinely want small businesses to win, and watching that happen never gets old.

So, why
“Space Cookie”?

The nickname comes from my husband, who noticed how often I got distracted by shiny objects. When it came time to name the business, it just felt right. It's a daily reminder to stay curious and be a little silly - which, it turns out, is not a bad way to do strategic work.
